Transforming the Campus
TU Dublin operates as a multi-campus university across Dublin, with a main city campus at Grangegorman, alongside established campuses in Bolton Street and Aungier Street, as well as facilities in Blanchardstown and Tallaght.
Our ambition is to develop 21st century campuses at all TU Dublin locations that meet the current and future needs of our students, simulating the challenges of the workplace and facilitating theoretical learning with practical skill development.
Some capital development projects of note are listed below.
Academic Hub, Grangegorman
TU Dublin’s new Academic Hub & Library is set to open in autumn 2025. Incorporating the existing North House, a protected 19th century structure, this stunning development now accommodates both TU Dublin’s substantial academic library and is over 12,500 square metres in size.
Extending over five floors, the building also hosts a range of student and staff supports, including the Career Development Centre, Civic Engagement, Maths Learning Centre, Disability Support Service, and People Development.
Áras Geal, Blanchardstown
Áras Geal, meaning Building of Light, is a state-of-the-art teaching facility on the TU Dublin Blanchardstown campus. Opened in May 2025, Áras Geal is designed to advance practice-led and employer-engaged education and research in one of Ireland’s fastest-growing regions.
A major milestone for the University and the wider community, the Áras Geal project was developed with the support and guidance of the Higher Education Authority and the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and will serve as a cornerstone for TU Dublin’s future in Blanchardstown.

North House, Tallaght
TU Dublin Tallaght Campus opened North House in March 2025, a transformative multi-disciplinary hub, to support excellence in hospitality, culinary arts, engineering, and apprenticeship education.
North House is a dynamic new facility, which includes state-of-the-art lecture theatres, a fully equipped training restaurant, cutting-edge design studios, and advanced research spaces.
As part of the Government’s Third Level PPP programme, this landmark investment offers a modern environment where innovation, learning, and industry partnership flourish side by side.

Design + Construct, Broombridge
TU Dublin's Design + Construct project is being developed as a Centre of Excellence for Architecture, Engineering and Construction, at the Broombridge campus. Through multidisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement, Design + Construct will play pivotal role in delivering on Project Ireland 2040 and the government’s key priority areas of apprenticeship, digitalisation, productivity and innovation, climate and gender action.
