Faculty of Computing Digital & Data Scholarships
Our scholarships support students developing skills in computing, digital technologies, and data science. They aim to foster innovation, recognise potential, and make education more accessible in these fast-evolving fields.
In 2023 one 6th year student at Synge Street CBS was awarded the ABB & Synge Street Scholarship Award. This will support the recipient’s entire undergraduate studies at TU Dublin. The student will also receive mentorship from ABB personnel and will provide a progress report for each year that they are in receipt of the Scholarship. The winning Scholar is Sonnie Kearns, studying for a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing with Software Development.

Industry partnership is central to supporting a diverse and inclusive workforce in the Technology sector.
The Huawei Maths & Tech4Her Scholarship at TU Dublin demonstrate Huawei’s commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in the Tech sector. The awards will recognise successful students with a financial award of €3,000 each and the opportunity to engage with employees from Huawei to learn about career paths and skills for work in the tech sector.

Who can apply
- Female students enrolled in an undergraduate programme in the Faculty of Computing, Digital & Data. You must have completed at least one semester and have at least one year remaining in your programme

Since 2019, the Intel Scholarship Programme has provided funding to students across disciplines ranging from Electronic and Mechanical Engineering, to Computing, and Game Design. As well as the financial support, mentoring and access to the wider ecosystem in Intel has created a lasting and transformative intervention in the lives of TU Dublin recipients.

The 2022/2023 Intel Scholarship awardees were: Ciara Barry, Jakub Pytlak, Luke Adams, Oluwademilade Mustapha, Dean David Walsh, Catherine Grogan, and Sanat Thukral.
The 2021/2022 Intel Scholarship awardees were: Abdullah Javed, Darren Cullen, Ishani Banjaree, Lin Yuan Chong, Mohammed Hisham Wafai, Olivia Brosnan, Ruairi Mulhall.
The 2020/2021 Intel Scholarship awardees were: Ahmed Zegini, Aryan Nautiyal, Carla Hedderman, Christopher Fagan, Eibhlin O'Riordan, Jeiel Oshiokameh, Sara Bilal.
A number of scholarships, which include monetary bursaries in the amount of €3,000, will be offered to selected students who are pursuing an undergraduate Level 8 Degree in Physics, Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

ELIGIBILITY: The opportunity to apply for a scholarship will be offered to the undergraduate students who are working in fields related to Intel’s research and technology needs. The scholarship is open to female students who are pursuing a Level 8 Degree in Physics, Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Students should be in the third or final year of their degree.
THE AWARDS: A monetary award of €3,000 will be made to the successful students. The successful students will also be allocated an Intel mentor who will be available throughout their academic studies. Students will also be invited to complete a summer work placement at Intel.
