Organisational Design

To achieve our strategic ambitions, set out in our TU Dublin Strategic Intent 2030 document, the University has undertaken an organisational design strategy and implementation project to create a multi-campus university that will deliver a dynamic education model for the future.

In Spring 2020, TU Dublin, in conjunction with external advisors Crowe and PA Consulting, developed a three-phased approach to our organisational design project.

Phase 1 of this project has been completed with a new high-level design published in November 2020. This was supported by a four-month consultation and validation period involving a wide range of internal stakeholders and external partners.

This high-level design provides the foundations for the future of TU Dublin. It describes a university-wide design and presents models within each of the academic and professional service units and dependencies and recommendations for subsequent phases.

Phase 2 of the project – the development of detailed designs for the university and its constituent parts – began in December 2020.

Phase 3 of the project will commence once Phase 2 has been completed and involves planning and delivering an implementation strategy to ensure that the new organisational design is successfully delivered across the university.
