Visual Merchandising & Display student Show

Published: 15 Mar, 2022

TUDublin 2nd year Visual Merchandising & Display students have created handmade jewellery pieces inspired by the three main Spring/Summer 2022 WGSN trends: Euphoric, Resourceful, and Connected.

The Euphoric trend is all about energising the mind, body and soul through the power of design. It is joyful and optimistic. It’s a supercharged take on natural and handmade themes, with a vibrant approach to craft and recycling.

The Resourceful trend is about making better with less, for a more respectful and sustainable future. It is about connecting with nature. Inspired by natural dyes, locally sourced materials and artisanal design. This palette champions resourcefulness.

The Connected trend joins future tech with age-old insights to create a more united, intelligent world. This trend includes bold silhouettes, versatile styles and fabric innovations. In addition, it focuses on wellness and the increasing influence of digital aesthetics.

The students will be showcasing their jewellery pieces inspired by these trends in the East Quad of the Grangegorman campus at 11am on the 24th of March. Everyone is welcome to come and watch to celebrate spring/summer 22!
