Lecturer

Conor Heelan is a lecturer in print and prepress technologies. Currently he teaches on the print and digital media apprenticeship, the Ba in print & digital media management and the Ma in professional design practice.

After working in the print industry for over ten years he joined Dublin Institute of Technology in 2001. He holds a senior trade certificate in Lithographic Printing and qualifications in information technology and education. During his time with DIT he has developed and delivered personalised CPD programs for the print industry. Clients include the Revenue printing centre, Wheatfield prison print section and Smurfit Kappa.

Conor teaches graphic design applications and prepress technologies for Print media apprentices. He also coordinates the plate production for the print labs held within the school. At undergraduate level he lectures in Information technology and digital asset management. At postgraduate level his focus is on commercial print production.

When not working Conor is involved in a number of adventure sports including skydiving and kite surfing. He has travelled the globe and made a number of appearances on radio and television in connection with his adventure activities.
