Mark Ennis is a Product and Interaction Designer that specialises in human-centred design and rapid prototyping of products and experiences. He holds a BSc in Product Design from Dublin Institute of Technology, and a MA in Interaction Design from the National College of Art and Design. Mark lectures on BSc Product Design, BA Interior and Furniture Design and MA in Creative Arts. His research interests include the future of working and learning environments, designing for early childhood education and play, health services design and design as a strategic tool for innovation.

Mark’s background is in industrial and product design, and more recently in digital product, user experience, and service design. His professional experience spans a wide range of successful products and services from office furniture to interactive children’s toys, to patient-centered service delivery models in primary care. He is involved in collaborative research projects in TU Dublin and the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland on an ongoing basis, and has acted as lead designer on several primary care based research grants totaling over €500k.

Mark’s areas of expertise include human-centred design, industrial and product design, sustainable design, furniture design, user experience design, user interface design, service design, rapid prototyping and physical computing.
