Oxford Symposium on Food and Cookery

The Oxford Food Symposium is the longest running food symposium and has had a strong link with the School of Culinary Arts and Food Technology for over twenty years. Dr Máirtín Mac Con Iomaire served two terms as a trustee of the Oxford Symposium and Dr Elaine Mahon currently sits on the board of trustees and is also chair of the Oxford Young Chef Collective.

A number of TU Dublin students / graduates have won the young chefs award including Elaine Mahon, Deborah Ryan, Aisling Kearns, Maria Omari, and Caitríona Nic Philibín.

Anke Klitzing is part of the organising team of the Oxford Food Symposium "WikiClub", which holds monthly online training and collaboration sessions to promote the integration of food scholarship and the open-access encyclopaedia Wikipedia.
