BASIC TALKS is a series of informal talks with leading contemporary practitioners curated by Basic Space in partnership with the Hugh Lane Gallery Explore & Learn Offsite Programme and BA Fine Art at TU Dublin School of Art & Design. BASIC TALKS is an open platform for lectures, workshops, presentations and performances. Speakers include artists, curators, writers and critics who generate discourse on producing, framing and exhibiting art.
Artist Eleanor McCaughey was born in Dublin and studied at TU Dublin. Eleanor’s multifaceted practice explores the body, identity and place through symbols and metaphors that express personal narratives.
