Hospitality and Event Management Graduation 2025
Wednesday 30th October, 2025 saw the graduating class of the same year being conferred with their degrees. The ceremony was held at the TU Dublin Tallaght campus in the new Sports Hall. Head of School Ralf Burbach alongside the Heads of Discipline for Hospitality and Tourism, Raymond Keaney and Peter Griffin, were there along with many members of staff to see the students of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management graduate.
The President addressed students and their guests, congratulating them on graduating and speaking to their achievements on the day. Several pieces of music were performed by TU Dublin Conservatoire students.
Dr Joe Tierney and Dr Declan O'Keefe were conferred with their PhDs on the same day. Dr Tierney's research was titled 'Opportunities for Reimagining Aging through Outdoor Adventure' under the supervision of Catherine Gorman. Dr O'Keefe's PhD was titled 'Jesuit Publications and their Place in Irish Public Life' under the supervision of Eamon Maher. It should be noted that Dr O'Keefe overcame serious health struggles before being awarded his PhD.
