The School of Tourism & Hospitality Management, TU Dublin, is delighted to announce that it has been invited to join the European Tourism Manifesto alliance.

We are joining as a supporting organisation, under the ‘Academic, Advisory & Research’ category, alongside Breda University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

The European Tourism Manifesto is a strategic alliance of over 70 public and private organizations advocating for sustainable, competitive, and innovative tourism policies across Europe.

Its members include European Tourism Association (ETOA), European Travel Commission (ETC), World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), TUI Group, International Air Transport Association (IATA) , Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), EU Travel Tech, Travelport, European Travel Agents and Tour Operators Association (ECTAA), European Exhibition Industry Alliance (EEIA), European Alliance for Responsible Tourism & Hospitality, International Social Tourism Organisation (ISTO), HOTREC Hospitality Europe, Network of European Regions for Sustainable and Competitive Tourism (NECSTour) and The Great Spa Towns of Europe.

The invitation comes of foot of the contribution TU Dublin has made to advancing European tourism through its representation on the European Commission’s expert group, ‘Together for EU Tourism’ (T4T).

With Ireland holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU, and a new EU Sustainable Tourism Strategy due in the Autumn, we look forward to collaborating with our Tourism Manifesto partners to advance opportunity for European citizens, regions and member states.
