Second Year Event Management Students Present Award-Winning Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Solution.
Four 2nd year Event Management students, Kim Rice, Sirikul Wimala Abby Keane & Enkhjin Bayarsaikhan traveled to Cork to present their award winning Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) solution to the Trigon Hotels Board of Management.
This achievement arises from their 1st year module on Intercultural Competence, delivered by Deirdre Ryan, where students were challenged to design an EDI initiative for industry and pitch it to a panel of guest speakers.
One of those speakers, Kathleen Linehan (Trigon Hotels), generously awarded the prize, an overnight stay at the Metropole Hotel & students presented their solution to the board. Kathleen praised the team’s presentation as “professional , polished & informative”.
