Second Year Students Explore Dublin.
Second Year students took to the streets of Dublin recently for a combined fieldtrip, which dealt with themes of transport, heritage and culture, and visitor attraction management. In planning the day-long combined fieldtrip, their lecturers, Jennifer Stewart, Catherine Gorman and Kevin Griffin identified tasks and activities that worked together to make the day an engaged and lively one.
Some students dipped in and out of various elements, but a stalwart crew managed to visit all of the sites - the The National Gallery, National Museum of Ireland - Archaeology, Chester Beatty Library, Dublinia and Christchurch Cathedral. Historical and current issues and events were discussed and highlighted en-route between sites. Particular gratitude to our good friends and graduates of our programmes who work in Dublinia and Christchurch for facilitating those elements of the day.
