Education
Our School
The TU Dublin School of Tourism and Hospitality Management has a history stretching back over eighty years and, despite some name and location changes, it remains Ireland’s premier institute in its respective fields. With ten undergraduate programmes in fields including Tourism, Hospitality, Events, Sports and Leisure Management the School provides its students with the education, experience and skills necessary to enter these industries at management level.
The School’s academic staff are all experts in their fields with decades of combined experience within the industry as well as within the university. Students can expect a diverse and varied selection of modules covering everything from accounting to HR management and from digital marketing to industry law. Assessment is performed through a combination of exams and continuous assessment.
All programmes also offer a six-month work placement in either Year 2 or 3 placing our students with companies like Aer Lingus, Guinness Storehouse and Croke Park. Many of these placements result in job offers once the student has finished their degree. Erasmus placements are also encouraged and we have connections with universities across Europe in countries such as Spain, Hungary, The Netherlands and many more. Programmes in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management give graduates a recognisable advantage when they enter the workplace with their skills and experience already in place.
