Industry Advisory Board

Welcome to the School of Management, People and Organisations Industry Advisory Board (IAB)

We are excited to announce the establishment of the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) within the School of Management, People, and Organisation (MPO). The formation of this board signifies our ambition to be a leading Management School.

At the School of MPO, our commitment is to nurture inspiring, impactful, innovative, and critically independent thinkers who are equipped to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the future. With a focus on our four disciplines of 'Strategy & Leadership', 'Management', 'Human Resource Management', and 'Organisation Studies', we strive to provide our students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the 21st-century workforce.

The IAB will serve as a vital conduit between academia and industry, offering valuable insights and strategic guidance to shape the future of our graduate activities and programmes. The IAB will inform our planning in terms of 21st century and employability skills required from graduates, provide broad high-level perspectives on the current and future industry needs and trends, and assist the School of MPO to increase its engagement with industry, professional bodies, and the community.

The IAB members have been invited to provide a strategic view encompassing all aspects of the School's activities. Their input will play a pivotal role in helping us re-envision our work and industry relationships, ultimately expanding our partnerships sphere and driving positive change within our community of staff, students, graduates and industry.

At our recent inaugural IAB meeting, we embarked on a journey of collaboration and innovation, focusing on broad, "high altitude" questions designed to discover and define industry needs relevant to our School's activities. We aim to foster discussions that explore current industry trends and anticipate future developments, allowing us to align our work and activities with the evolving needs of the the  'Strategy & Leadership', 'Management', 'Human Resource Management', and 'Organisation Studies' fields.
