Jordana holds a BSc in Spatial Planning and a MSc in Local Development and Innovation from Dublin Institute of Technology (now TU Dublin) and lectures undergraduate and post-graduate modules in Spatial Planning, Development Management, Spatial Planning and Sustainable Communities, European Context, Planning Theory and Planning Techniques.

Jordana has worked in the public and private sector in the areas of forward planning and development management. She has also worked within the Office of Civic Engagement in Dublin City University (DCU) providing research and operational supports across a variety of projects including the; North-South Social Innovation Network, Dublin-Belfast Economic Corridor, DCU Centre for Engaged Research and the DCU Sustainable Energy Community.

Jordana has a particular interest in economic development and how improvements in technology and communications have had a transformative effect on society, and the nature and location of economic activity. She has researched the continuing importance of physical places in the development of industry clusters and the necessity for formal institutional spaces and organisational leadership to harness the potential for these clusters.
