Economics, local development, community engagement, EU policy, governance, spatial planning, retail planning, tendering, policy development. Odran Reid is multi-skilled professional with over 37 years experience in the public, private and NGO sectors. He worked with the Greater London Council, the Inner London Education Authority, Northside Partnership and with a MEP’s. He was the first CEO of NorDubCo and the first administrator of the Institute of International and European Affairs. Odran is currently a Board member of the Ireland China Institute (https://irelandchinainstitute.ie).

Odran specialises in retail planning, socio-economic analysis, impact assessment, community consultation and governance. He continues to assist NGOs in developing their corporate governance policies and procedures. He has served on numerous other NGO and state boards. Odran continues to be involved in the NGO sector and is Chairperson of Northside Counselling Service and is a Director of Northside Homecare Board. He is involved in the Public Participation Networks in both Fingal and Dublin City and is a member of the DCC Planning and Property Development SPC and the Economic Development and Enterprise SPC in Fingal. He is a member of the QQI Appeals Panel and is secretary of the Irish Branch of the Institute of Economic Development. 

Odran is an economics graduate of Trinity College Dublin and a masters graduate in Spatial Planning from TU Dublin. He is a Corporate member of the Irish Planning Institute and of the Institute of Economic Development. Odran is Chair of the school’s Spatial Planning MSc Programme. Odran has lectured in the Gengdan Institute of Beijing, as part of a joint programme run with TU Dublin 

He is a currently a member of the ICLRD Panel of Experts.
