Temporary Technical Employment Opportunity – Laboratory Assistant

The School of Chemical & BioPharmaceutical Sciences currently has an urgent requirement for a temporary (short term) laboratory assistant to provide support for chemical laboratories in the areas of analytical, organic, inorganic, physical and process/pharmaceutical chemistry.
The role to be filled will focus on providing assistance to technical staff and undertaking housekeeping duties including the general maintenance of laboratories, cleaning of glassware, setting out of equipment for synthetic chemistry and early undergraduate laboratories.
This is an opportunity to gain direct experience in a technical role within the School, with preference given to internal applicants.
The post will be filled on a temporary wholetime, emergency basis with a possible start date of Monday 26th January 2026.
