TU Dublin and Intel Invest in the Next Generation of Women in STEM

Published: Tue 3 Nov 2026 - 11:18

TrailblazHER™ at TU Dublin, in partnership with Intel, has announced the opening of applications for two Intel TrailblazHER Scholarships, strengthening its commitment to advancing gender equality and creating meaningful opportunities for women in STEM.

Open to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate women students, the scholarships will support studies across four key disciplines: Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The undergraduate scholarship provides €3,000 annually for up to three years, while the postgraduate scholarship offers up to €9,000, subject to programme duration and eligibility. Recipients will also have opportunities for mentoring, professional development and industry engagement.

The scholarships form part of TU Dublin's wider TrailblazHER™ initiative, which is translating its commitment to gender equality into tangible action through scholarships, awards and development programmes supporting women throughout education and into their careers.

Commenting on the announcement, Dr Aoife Blowick, Senior Manager of TrailblazHER™ at TU Dublin, said:

"If we want more women to thrive in STEM, we need to do more than encourage them to enter these fields. We need to invest in their success, support them to stay and create opportunities for them to progress. By offering scholarships at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, TU Dublin and Intel are investing in women at different stages of their journeys, whether entering higher education, developing their careers or returning to education to upskill."

Applications close on Wednesday, 18 November 2026.
