TU Dublin MPDA Students to Showcase Emerging Creative Talent at RÚNTA RISING Degree Show

Published: Tuesday 19 May 2026 - 15:23

TU Dublin’s Media Production & Digital Arts (MPDA) team warmly invites staff, students and the wider public to attend the opening of the 2026 Degree Show, RÚNTA RISING, taking place at Rua Red, South Dublin Arts Centre, Tallaght.

The exhibition opens on Saturday, 23 May at 15:00 and will run until Saturday, 30 May 2026.

RÚNTA RISING is an exhibition of emerging creative voices from the BA (Hons) Media Production & Digital Arts programme at TU Dublin’s Tallaght Campus. Inspired by the subversive nature of the speakeasy, the show opens into an intriguing world of creativity and discovery, inviting visitors into a carefully curated space shaped by exploration, experimentation and storytelling.

Drawing on the idea of veiled, peripheral and often overlooked spaces, the exhibition explores moments of joy, kinship, intimacy, openness, loss and vulnerability. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves fully in this creative environment and experience the breadth of student work on display.

Students from the Class of 2026 have worked across a wide range of media and digital arts disciplines, including design, film and video, visual effects, audio production, animation, screenwriting, photography and emerging media technologies. Their work reflects a rigorous engagement with critical research and cultural context, culminating in a diverse and compelling Degree Show exhibition.

Alongside the exhibition, individual student portfolios can be explored online at mpda.ie, offering further insight into the depth and scope of their creative practice.

TU Dublin is proud to celebrate the achievements of these graduating students and to showcase the innovation, imagination and talent emerging from the MPDA programme.
