Dublin Chinese New Year Festival 2020
Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) is delighted to host a fascinating lecture by Dr Jun Ni in celebration of the Chinese New Year on Monday, 27 January at 6:30 pm in Grangegorman.
Last week, Dublin Chinese New Year Festival announced details of the programme of events that will take place this year to celebrate The Year of the Rat. A Dublin City Council initiative, Dublin Chinese New Year Festival is your chance to join in the celebrations and immerse yourself in Chinese culture with a programme that includes talks, visual arts, performance, film, music and many family-friendly events.
On Monday, 27 January, Dr Jun Ni, a lecturer in Chinese in the School of Languages, Law and Social Sciences at TU Dublin, will give a brief introduction to the history of Chinese migration in Ireland, examining how Chinese migrants reshape their cultural identity this lecture will focus on the cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese migrants, based on Jun’s own research on Chinese migrants in Ireland.
