TU Dublin Irish Language Classes and Online Training for 2020

A new year of Free Irish Language Classes on campus and on-line for TU Dublin Staff and Students will begin from Monday 3rd February 2020 organised by Oifig na Gaeilge, TU Dublin’s Irish language office and Gaelchultúr Teo, supported by Staff Development.

Classes will be provided at 4 different levels, from Complete Beginners to Intermediate level and will take place for an hour at lunch times and evenings. Highly skilled tutors from Gaelchultúr will deliver the conversation-based classes and staff and students can work towards the European Certificate in Irish qualification. All staff and students who attend the Irish classes in TU Dublin this semester will also be able to avail of free on-line classes and support with www.ranganna.com. Ranganna.com is a user-friendly and comprehensive e-learning website that lets you learn authentic, every-day Irish and at your own pace supporting your Irish classes on campus.

The classes will begin the week of Monday 3rd February for 8 weeks and will take place in Aungier St., Grangegorman and Kevin St. campuses. Staff and Students can register for Irish classes here.

Oifig na Gaeilge are also offering a new part time programme, the Certificate in Professional Irish (Levels 3-6, National Framework of Qualifications) to staff who deal with the public on a regular basis working in Student Services, Library Services and Estates. Staff who undertake the Certificate in Professional Irish will have an opportunity to learn specialised language relating to their work and gain a recognised qualification at the same time.
