Women in IT, Engineering and Apprenticeship Event Today
TU Dublin will host a live panel discussion from 1 pm today about the importance of work placements, summer internships and apprenticeships in the development of industry skills and future careers.
The event was organised ESTeEM, which is a unique mentorship programme for female students in Engineering, Construction and Computing to address gender equality.
The discussion will be moderated by Access to Apprenticeship Programme Officer, Therese Fitzgerald, and will involve contributions from a range of women working in IT, Engineering and Craft Apprenticeships. The opening speech will be by Mykie Northridge, a third-year apprentice and a graduate of the Access to Apprenticeship programme.
Four panellists will then join Therese to discuss the role of work placements, summer internships and apprenticeships in the development of industry skills and their careers.
