AWS GameDay & WorldSkills Ireland

Published: 22 Oct, 2021

TU Dublin is excited to announce the AWS GameDay & WorldSkills Ireland's second regional competition for Cloud Computing Skills. The format of the competition is a single person AWS GameDay. Previous participants of this event have told us how much they enjoyed it.

Did you know the current WorldSkills gold medallist for Cloud Computing came from Ireland? They started, like you might, at an event just like this. Next year, the WorldSkills International event will be held in Shanghai in China. So who knows, you could be the one representing Ireland in Shanghai 2022.

The WorldSkills Competition is the world’s largest technical and vocational competition. Over 50 skills are part of the competition, including cloud computing. WorldSkills Competitions are held every two years, with the next taking place in 2022 (delayed due to the pandemic), in Shanghai, China. In the 2019 international competition Ireland won the gold medal for cloud computing skills.

If you are under the age of 26 and have some experience in cloud computing, you are welcome to register to participate. Please reach out to Dr Fernando Perez Tellez- WorldSkills  Ireland – Cloud Computing Examiner.
