Support our Student-Led Christmas Appeal
Across TU Dublin, students supported by Sports and Societies, have come together to raise funds for three charities this year! The campaign began in November, but you have until Friday, 18 December to get involved or donate!
Each year, TU Dublin supports the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul through our TU Dublin SVP Student Society, and we are delighted to be able to continue this strong tradition this year – our 2020 Christmas Appeal campaign will look a little different! We are also very pleased to be supporting Dublin Simon Community and the Capuchin Day Centre in 2020.

Proceeds from the TU Dublin Christmas Appeal will go to the Dublin Simon Community and the Capuchin Day Centre, two charities that provide vital support for the homeless and those at risk of homelessness. You can donate via our fundraising page and also by buying raffle tickets to be in with the chance to win a host of prizes including a signed jersey by Irish Rugby Star Sean O’Brien!

Saint Vincent De Paul Giving Tree
Students and staff from across TU Dublin are now being invited to contribute to the Virtual SVP Giving tree. Our TU Dublin SVP Society members put great focus and effort into the SVP annual Giving Tree – normally a lovely Christmas feature on campus. This year, the same focus and effort will be behind the Virtual SVP Giving Tree, which is taking place online for 2020. We are encouraging the TU Dublin community to rally behind this appeal and support SVP and to consider buying gift vouchers for young people and adults as well as little children on the SVP website here.

Social Justice Week
The Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy Services have organised a series of events for the University's Social Justice Week starting today. Some events include a webinar hosted by African Society and ACET on issues facing migrant communities regarding HIV and AIDS, a panel discussion about domestic abuse with the CEO of Men's Aid, Saoirse Women's Refuge and Friends of the Elderly and a Q&A with National Council for the Blind for Persons with Disabilities Day.
