TU Dublin Student Volunteering X STAND Festival #RISEUP

Published: 28 Oct, 2021

The STAND Student Festival is a week-long awareness-raising initiative held on campus and run by TU Dublin Student Volunteers.

For the first time, the Festival will take place at Grangegorman, close to the Central Quad.  The aim of the Festival is to engage our students in a conversation about global development and justice issues and encourage them to take action. During the festival week, there will also be events led by our student volunteers that draw out the themes in the exhibition.

Our volunteers will also encourage students to take the #RISEUP pledge and register interest in starting/ joining a TU Dublin STAND Society.

#RISEUP Exhibition

The STAND photographic exhibition will also visit the campus next week. It is made up of 12 double-sided display units with colour photographs and text celebrating global justice heroes, illustrated by five international #RISEUP artists. We are encouraging all students and staff to visit the exhibition and tag their photographs of the display to @tudublinvolunteering on Instagram.

TU Dublin Student Volunteering supports the Festival, and the festival series is run by STAND.ie, an initiative of the educational development charity Suas.
