TU Dublin was delighted to welcome Maeve O’Connell TD, Fine Gael spokesperson on Higher Education, to our Grangegorman campus today for an engaging discussion on the impact of Artificial Intelligence on higher education and how we are approaching the implementation of AI across our courses.
The discussion explored the opportunities and challenges presented by AI in teaching, learning and assessment. It also highlighted the importance of developing thoughtful, responsible and human-centred approaches to AI in higher education. This means keeping learners and educators at the centre, with technology serving as a supportive tool for education.
Deputy O’Connell was welcomed to campus by:
- Dr Ciaran O’Leary, Assistant Head, Academic Affairs
- Dr Ana Elena Schalk, Academic Developer – AI Specialist
- Dr Brian Murphy, Government and Community Advocacy Lead
As AI continues to reshape education and the wider world of work, TU Dublin is committed to supporting our students and staff in navigating these changes and ensuring our approach to AI is informed, responsible and focused on enhancing the learning experience.
