Technological Universities highlighted as drivers of Ireland's future in Irish Independent report

A special Future of Education report published in the Irish Independent on Wednesday highlights the transformative role of Ireland's technological universities in shaping the country's future workforce and supporting enterprise.

The report features an article by Claire McGee, CEO of the Technological Universities Association (TUA), who outlines the significant impact the technological university sector is having across Ireland.

In the article, Claire McGee highlights that technological universities are providing people with direct pathways to meaningful careers while equipping businesses with the talent, skills and expertise they need to grow and innovate.

Although Ireland's first technological university, TU Dublin, was only established in 2019, with the fifth following in 2022, the sector has already transformed the higher education landscape, creating a model that delivers benefits for students, employers and regional communities alike.
