TU Dublin Continues to Champion Access with Strong Round Zero CAO Offer Numbers
Ireland's first technological university, TU Dublin, has made 2,333 Round Zero Offers to 1,844 CAO applicants today. Round Zero offers are to applicants not competing with those awaiting 2026 Leaving Certificate examination grades, including mature and QQI applicants. Those who have received an offer are reminded to accept online via www.cao.ie by 15:00 on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, to secure their course of choice.
Senior Manager for Admissions Bob Ó Mhurcú explains that TU Dublin aims to be Ireland’s most accessible university.
“TU Dublin is proud to be Ireland’s most diverse university, and we provide multiple entry routes to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pursue higher education. Today, we have made 2,333 Round Zero offers to 1,844 CAO applicants, which includes mature applicants and QQI applicants who have completed Further Education courses from across Ireland.”
Other TU Dublin statistics include:
- 26.0% of all Round Zero offers nationwide were made by TU Dublin (2,333 of 8,980)
- 27.1% of applicants nationwide who received a Round Zero offer received one from TU Dublin
- TU Dublin made 16.3% of all nationwide Level 8 offers in Round Zero
- TU Dublin made 44.0% of all nationwide Level 6/7 offers in Round Zero
Round Zero CAO offers are now available to view and accept online at www.cao.ie, with successful applicants also receiving an email and a text message (if they have selected this option) with details of their offer.
Welcoming the new cohort, TU Dublin's University Registrar, Dr Dominic Dillane, said: “We are delighted so many CAO applicants have chosen TU Dublin and are looking forward to meeting them in September. Don’t forget that you must accept your offer online by 15:00 on Tuesday, 11 August 2026.”
