We are delighted to welcome Career Guidance Counsellors from across Ireland to our Grangegorman campus on 06 and 07 March 2026, as Principal Sponsor and Host of the IGC Conference 2026.

The annual conference of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors (IGC) is a key national event for professionals working across second-level education, further education and training (FET), adult and youth services, private practice, and community settings. This year’s theme, “Nourish to Flourish: Sustaining Growth through Guidance Counselling,” highlights the importance of supporting learners at every stage of life while also prioritising professional wellbeing and development within the guidance community.

Supporting Student Futures

TU Dublin is proud to be ranked Number 1 in Dublin for Graduate Employability, reflecting the University’s strong focus on practice-based learning, industry engagement, and career-focused education. With programmes spanning foundation to PhD level, TU Dublin works closely with employers and enterprise partners to ensure students graduate with the skills, experience, and confidence needed to succeed in a changing world.

Guidance counsellors play a central role in helping students navigate these pathways, making informed decisions about higher education and career opportunities. Hosting their annual conference provides an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the University and the guidance community, and to introduce TU Dublin’s state of the art campus at Grangegorman.

The conference programme will feature 14 carefully selected workshops designed to provide meaningful CPD across the educational, personal and social, and career strands of guidance. The breadth of topics reflects the diverse settings in which guidance counsellors work and the evolving needs of learners across the lifespan.

A National Gathering at Grangegorman

The event will take place at TU Dublin’s East Quad in Grangegorman, offering delegates access to modern teaching and event facilities in a centrally located campus environment. The conference is being delivered in partnership with the Dublin West Branch of the IGC, whose organising committee has been working closely with the TU Dublin team in preparation for the event.
