Recruitment and Selection in TU Dublin is managed by the Resourcing Section in the HR Department.

Requesting the Filling of a Vacancy

In order to request a vacancy to be filled the appropriate policy and procedures as well as the Employment Control Framework June 2011 must be adhered to.

Should you wish to submit a request to fill a vacancy you may do so electronically through your Core Portal account and by accessing ‘My Staff Requisitions’. The request is then sent electronically to the appropriate Dean for approval and then submitted to TPAC or SPAG for consideration.

For further information on the process and to answer any query on the electronic SRF, please contact the Resourcing Manager.

Research Staff

For new Research Posts please complete a SRF electronically through your Core Portal account and by accessing ‘My Staff Requisitions’. The request is then sent electronically to the appropriate Dean for approval and then submitted to RPAC for consideration.

Communications to candidates who have attended for interview will only take place after required Governing Body approval where necessary.

National Vetting Bureau

Candidates recommended for employment will be asked to complete the National Vetting Bureau Invitation NVB1 for Staff Only English Version and authorise the University to conduct a background check via the National Vetting Bureau (NVB).

Completed signed forms with a copy of the applicants passport/driving license should be sent to Garda Vetting C/O Onboarding Team, Human Resources, TU Dublin, 5th Floor, Park House Grangegorman, 191 North Circular Road, Dublin 7, D07 EWV4. An invitation to the e-vetting website will then be sent to your email address.

Students should return their completed forms to Ms Mairead Murphy, Head of Recruitment, Admissions & Participation, RD002 Rathdown House, TU Dublin, Grangegorman, Dublin 7. Queries relating to student vetting can be emailed to studentvetting@dit.ie
