The Academic Hub & Library opens to staff and students
TU Dublin is delighted to announce the soft opening of the Academic Hub & Library at the heart of the Grangegorman campus. Students and staff of TU Dublin can visit the new library and spaces with their TU Dublin ID from Monday, 29 June.

Designed by award-winning architects O'Donnell + Tuomey, this landmark development represents a major investment in your university experience. Centrally located, the Academic Hub and Library has been designed as a vibrant focal point for study, collaboration, connection, and supporting the student and staff experience. It will play a vital role in supporting the learning, teaching and research of the university community.
The building brings together key academic supports that students need in a single location. Alongside the Library, you will find the Academic Writing Centre, Maths Learning Centre, Computing Learning Centre, Disability Support Service, and Career Development Centre, making it easier than ever to access the supports that you need to succeed.
Spanning 12,600m2 and incorporating the historic North House building, the Academic Hub and Library blends heritage with modern, sustainable design to provide a user centred, inclusive, and welcoming new space to support every style of learning from quiet individual study to collaborative project work. The building offers:
- A wide range of individual and group study spaces
- Technology-enhanced teaching and learning environments
- Seminar and exhibition spaces
- A café and informal social spaces
- Offices for Learning, Teaching, and Assessment (LTA), Digital Education, People Development, Research & Innovation, and the University Executive Team.
