Professionals across Ireland’s construction and infrastructure sectors are gearing up for a key industry event next week: ‘International Cost Management Standards (ICMS) Reporting: Enabling Better Delivery of Ireland’s Infrastructure.’ The half-day seminar, hosted at the East Quad of TU Dublin’s Grangegorman campus on Wednesday, May 21st, will run from 09:00 to 13:30, offering insight into one of the most significant components of the country's Building Information Modelling (BIM) mandate.
This high-impact event, presented in partnership by Build Digital and the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI), focuses on the role of ICMS as a cornerstone of the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF), specifically highlighting how consistent and transparent cost reporting can enhance project outcomes across Ireland’s built environment.
As the construction industry continues its digital transformation, the adoption of ICMS; an international standard for cost and carbon reporting is becoming more essential. The event will cover:
- Policy and practicalities of ICMS implementation in Ireland
- Challenges and opportunities within BIM-based cost management
- Best practices for aligning cost and carbon reporting across an asset’s life cycle
- Methods to ensure accurate, timely, and relevant data in public and private sector projects
Attendees will hear from leading experts in construction, sustainability, and digital delivery. The session is designed to benefit a wide range of industry stakeholders, including Quantity Surveyors, Sustainability Consultants, Project Managers, Asset Managers and Owners, Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Material Suppliers.
