Published: Thursday 7 May 2026 - 14:07

ARISE recently hosted a Green Chemistry Biocatalysis Workshop at the Greenway Hub, led by Business Development Manager Ruth McAdams and Dr Gemma Kinsella, Head of Food Science and Industrial Biotechnology at TU Dublin, whose work in enzyme design supports more sustainable chemical processes.

The event brought together a select group of companies and researchers to explore practical solutions to real-world challenges.

Following an initial networking session, participants moved into tailored one-to-one meetings. Each company presented a specific problem statement and was matched with researchers with relevant expertise, enabling focused and productive discussions.

The format encouraged meaningful engagement, allowing for in-depth technical conversations and the exploration of potential collaborations.

Overall, the workshop proved highly effective, highlighting the value of connecting enterprise with TU Dublin’s applied research capabilities.
