PURE Now Syncs with ORCID – Streamline Your Research Profile
We’re pleased to announce a new feature in our research information management system, PURE: it now supports automatic export of research outputs to ORCID.
This integration is designed to help researchers maintain consistent and up-to-date public research profiles with minimal effort.
What’s New?
PURE will now push your validated publications and other research outputs directly to your ORCID record. This means:
- Less manual data entry across platforms
- Improved visibility of your work
- Greater consistency in how your research is represented
What You Need to Do
To enable this feature:
- Log in to your PURE profile.
- Click ‘Edit Profile’
- Link your ORCID iD by following the on-screen instructions. Be sure to save the changes to your profile once you have connected your ORCID.
Once connected, your eligible research outputs will be automatically exported to ORCID.
Why It Matters
ORCID is widely used by funders, publishers, and institutions to uniquely identify researchers and their work. Keeping your ORCID profile current helps:
- Enhance your professional visibility
- Simplify grant applications and manuscript submissions
- Ensure accurate attribution of your research
Remember
Whether you opt to export your outputs to ORCID or not, you need to log in to PURE regularly to import any new publications to your PURE profile. You can see how to do that here.
