Technical University of Cluj-Napoca to Host 6th Romanian Scientific Diaspora Conference

Published: 3 Jul, 2025

The sixth edition of the Romanian Scientific Diaspora Conference will be held from November 4th – 7th, 2025, at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. The announcement was made during the recent Rectors’ Board meeting and is now being followed by efforts to connect with Romanian researchers and academics in TU Dublin to extend formal invitations ahead of mid-July.

Organised by the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation Funding (UEFISCDI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Research and Cluj-Napoca’s major universities, the event serves as a premier platform for strengthening scientific ties between Romania and its global research community.

Launched in 2008, the Romanian Scientific Diaspora Conference aims to foster dialogue, collaboration, and partnerships between Romanian scientists at home and abroad. This year’s edition will feature plenary sessions, thematic workshops, and networking opportunities across a range of disciplines showcasing Romania’s scientific potential and innovation capacity.

The event will open with a plenary session on November 4th, followed by two days of exploratory workshops and networking, and conclude with a final plenary and conference resolution on November 7th.

Additional details, including registration information and the full program, will be published on the official website: https://diaspora-stiintifica.ro.
