TU Dublin Launches New High-Performance Computing (HPC) Infrastructure
TU Dublin staff and research community are invited to attend the TU Dublin HPC Launch Event, taking place on Thursday, 5th February 2026 in the Central Quad, Grangegorman Campus.
This event marks the official launch of TU Dublin’s new CPU High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster and will showcase the growing range of HPC resources available to support research across the University. Attendees will also gain insight into pathways for accessing national and European HPC infrastructure, strengthening TU Dublin’s research computing ecosystem.
The programme will feature a mix of talks, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions, with highlights including:
- An overview of HPC services at TU Dublin
- The HPC Nexus Lab, focusing on energy-aware HPC research
- National HPC services and CASPIr (ICHEC)
- Official launch of the TU Dublin CPU HPC cluster
- A hands-on introduction to the TU Dublin GPU cluster
- A user research showcase
- Introduction to the Women in HPC Ireland Chapter
The event is suitable for both current and prospective HPC users, including:
- Researchers exploring computational workloads and energy-aware computing
- Staff and research students interested in using HPC resources
- Staff and research students looking to develop HPC and GPU computing skills
