Sylvia Gavigan is a Senior Researcher and Project Manager at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) and the European University of Technology (EUT+). She has over 20 years of experience across both the education sector and industry and holds a PhD in Philosophy from Technological University Dublin.
Dr. Gavigan’s primary research focuses on entrepreneurship education and rural female entrepreneur. Her broader research interests include rural entrepreneurship, gender and leadership, female entrepreneurship, inclusive entrepreneurship, and rural development.
Her experience in the diplomatic corps as Consul General of Uganda to Ireland has fostered collaborations with the United Nations and supported projects empowering female entrepreneurs across Africa, Europe, and the United States. Her recent work includes publications of journal articles, book chapters, and case studies.
