The exciting promise of Green Chemistry and Biotechnology is the production of new materials and the discovery of new ways to make existing materials without environmental impact and with low energy input. Through Enzyme Engineering for Biocatalysis, the centre will enable the development of novel enzymes with enhanced stability and selectivity using directed evolution and computational design for industrial purposes.
