What is Pitch Perfect?

Pitch Perfect is the flagship event of Local Enterprise Week in Dublin, showcasing six of Dublin’s most exciting early-stage start-ups. Each finalist will pitch live to a judging panel in front of an audience of 300+ people at TU Dublin Concert Hall. The winner will receive a prize valued at over €10,000. This includes €5,000 cash prize and a year of office space at one of the TU Dublin incubators to help grow their business (Grangegorman, Tallaght or Blanchardstown).

As part of Local Enterprise Week 2025, TU Dublin, in association with the four Dublin area Local Enterprise Offices (Dublin City, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal, South Dublin) and Enterprise Irelands' New Frontiers, are proud to co-sponsor this pitch competition to find Dublin’s most exciting start-up.

Runner-Up Prizes:

  • €250 Cash
  • 3 months of free hot desk usage*
    (For one person at any TU Dublin campus incubator) 

How to Apply

  1. Check your eligibility (see Eligibility Criteria section below)
  2. Register your interest by Monday, 29 January 2026, at 1 PM
  3. Once confirmed, you’ll receive a link to upload your videos.
  4. Submit your four pitch videos by Monday, 02 February 2026 at 1 PM (see Video Guidelines section below)
  5. Finalists announced: Thursday, 05 February 2026.

Important: Finalists must attend a coaching session & photocall on 17 February and pitch live at the event on 05 March 2026

To enter, your start-up must meet all five criteria:

  1. Received less than €100,000 in external investment or government funding by 05/03/26.
  2. Total sales to date are under €500,000.
  3. Business is less than 36 months old.
  4. Applicant is 18+ years old at the video submission date.
  5. Applicant is one of the following:
    • A registered TU Dublin student
    • Completed or currently completing a TU Dublin entrepreneurship programme (e.g., New Frontiers)
    • Registered with CRO as a limited company, and based in Dublin Region (Dublin City, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal, or South Dublin)
    • Registered as a client with a Local Enterprise Office in the Dublin region
    • Based in the Dublin region and not registered with any other Local Enterprise Office

  1. The Start-up consents to the application information and video being shared with TU Dublin staff and 3rd parties involved in the organisation and delivery of the pitch event. 
  2. If shortlisted for the live final, the start-up consents to pitching live to an invited panel and a general audience (not subject to an NDA).  
  3. If shortlisted for the live final, the applicant will be required to attend the Pitch Mentoring Session and Photocall on 17/02/26 at TU Dublin Grangegorman campus. 
  4. Disclosure of commercially sensitive data or intellectual property during the course of the event is at the discretion of the entrant. 
  5. Organisers are not liable for any loss arising from this.   
  6. The Start-up consents to the event being recorded (whether officially or unofficially on personal devices by audience members). 
  7. The Start-up consents to participate in publicity/media activities prior to, during and after the event.
  8. Proposals that are considered unethical or excluded from standard funding criteria for Local Enterprise Offices (or Enterprise Ireland) will not be considered (e.g. gambling, property development, etc).  
  9. Applicants warrant that they are a founder, owner or director of the startup, that the project proposal is their own work, and they are not representing a third party. 
  10. The Applicant will be the person submitting and primarily featured in the videos; undertaking pitch coaching and publicity, and performing the live pitch if shortlisted for the final. 
  11. The business must be owned or controlled in Ireland. You may be asked to provide your CRO number (if incorporated) or PPS number (if no company has been registered). 
  12.  You must have an Irish personal or company bank account to which any prize money can be transferred.   
  13. The offer of free office space for the Pitch Perfect competition winner is available only during the period from 01/05/26 to 30/04/27 (12 consecutive months), at the winner’s preferred TU Dublin campus incubator (Blanchardstown, Grangegorman, or Tallaght), subject to availability. 
  14. The Hot Desk Award for the Pitch Perfect finalists is for three consecutive months (commencing on 01/04/26 and finishing on 31/10/26) in the finalist’s preferred TU Dublin campus incubator (Blanchardstown, Grangegorman, or Tallaght), subject to availability.  
  15. Previous Pitch Perfect finalists (and their businesses) are not eligible to enter. 
  16. Cash equivalents or other substitutions are not available for any non-cash award.  
  17. Organisers reserve the right to withdraw finalists or withhold prizes if false or incorrect information is provided at any stage during the competition process. 
  18. The decisions of the shortlisting and judging panels at the live pitch are final.

After registering, you’ll receive instructions to submit four videos (max 1 minute each):

  1. What is your product or service?
  2. Who will pay for it?
  3. How will you make money and scale?
  4. Tell us about your team.

Video Requirements:

  • Format: .MP4
  • Naming: [1-4]_[Firstname_Surname].mp4 (e.g., 1_John_Smith.mp4)
  • Style: Your choice—slides, animations, voiceovers, or direct pitch.

What to Include in Each Video

  1. What is your product or service? (1 minute)
  • Describe your product or service, including its unique selling point (USP).
  • Explain what makes it innovative.
  • Share its current stage of development.
  1. Who will pay for your product or service? (1 minute)
  • Identify your first target customer.
  • Outline the market opportunity (domestic and global).
  • Describe the current alternatives or competitors.
  1. How will you make money and scale? (1 minute)
  • State your unit price.
  • Estimate annual sales potential.
  • Indicate funding needs and how you will use the funds.
  1. Tell us about your team (1 minute)
  • Introduce the founding team, their expertise and experience.
  • Share why you are passionate about this idea.
  • Highlight any skills or advisors you still need.
