From June 4th–7th, TU Dublin will host a vibrant programme of interactive events, inspiring talks, and hands-on workshops designed to ignite curiosity and celebrate space and STEAM:
🌌 Planetarium Dome Experience
Step into the Armagh Observatory’s mobile planetarium and take a live, immersive tour of the night sky. Runs across multiple days.
🔭 Talks & Panels
From Hubble to Webb – Discover the story behind two of humanity’s most powerful space telescopes with Kevin Nolan.
Exploring the Extremes – Dr Niamh Shaw shares her journey from aspiring astronaut to science communicator.
Bias in AI – Dr Keith Quille explores ethics in AI using real-world, no-code demos.
Bee Science Show – Dr Naomi Lavelle delivers a fun, explosive dive into pollination and plant science.
🌠 Evening at Dunsink Observatory
Experience Ireland’s astronomical heritage with stargazing, talks, and activities in the historic setting of Dunsink Observatory (Thursday night).
🛰️ Family-Friendly Workshops
Paper Rocket Launching – Compete for height and distance while learning the physics of spaceflight.
Demystify Digital Tech – Parents and educators explore hands-on digital activities for young learners.
