Research Centres are vital hubs of innovation and collaboration within academic institutions bringing together faculty, researchers, and industry partners to address complex challenges, advance knowledge, and drive innovation in various fields.

The faculty is home to seven designated research centres, these are:

The Research Centre for Psychology, Education, and Emotional Intelligence (PEEI) focuses on improving physical and mental well-being in educational and organisational contexts for vulnerable and dependent individuals.

The primary aim is to conduct robust research that advances theory and practice in the fields of psychology, education and emotional intelligence.
They are particularly interested in research that focuses on improving physical and mental wellbeing to enable individuals and communities to thrive.

The Research Centre for the Ecological Analysis of Social Inclusion and Equitable Responsibility (EASIER) brings together a multidisciplinary team to foster research that promotes social inclusion in public sector provision on a sustainable basis through the adoption of a multi-level ecological perspective.

The Irish Studies Centre brings together two established research communities, the National Centre for Franco-Irish Studies and the Dublin Gastronomy Symposium. Irish Studies promotes multidisciplinary research in literature, food studies, history, cultural studies and sociology, under the broad umbrella of Irish Studies.

The TU Dublin-TDC Joint Centre for Sociology of Humans and Machines (SOHAM), led by Workday Professor of Culture and Society Taha Yasseri, explores societies where humans and intelligent machines coexist, pioneering a new sociological framework to understand the complexities of these evolving relationships.

GradCAM is an exciting collaborative initiative of international and all-island significance which builds on the expertise of the Technological University Dublin.

It is the research centre in creative arts and media, and is a shared space of fourth level education, providing structured doctoral studies and research support. Building on an established national and international reputation for critical interdisciplinary dialogue, GradCAM facilitates research at the intersection of cultural and educational practice, and work and innovation beyond the academy.

The ECT Lab+, a designated research centre of the EUt+ with membership from all eight EUt partners,  works as a transdisciplinary collaborative structure conducting research into the nature and function of technology. Bringing together experts from AHSS and STEM, the lab has developed a series of European funded research and staff exchange programs, maintaining a European focused platform for research at the intersections of art, Humanities and Technology.

The Centre for Socially Engaged Practiced Based Research (SEPR) foregrounds socially engaged art, media and architectural/design practice as a transdisciplinary research orientation at doctoral level across diverse communities of place and interest.

It was formerly the Centre for Transcultural Research and Media Practice (CTMP, 2005-2017)  and is situated in the School of Media. SEPR constitutes a dynamic socially engaged creative practice research environment within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
