Join us as TU Dublin Chamber Choir, conducted by Bernie Sherlock with Mairéad Hurley at the piano, presents a sparkling celebration of Christmas music.
Enjoy a rich and colourful programme of carols and seasonal songs crossing centuries, borders, and styles—from serene masterpieces to festive favourites guaranteed to lift the spirit. And of course… traditional carols for all to sing.

TU Dublin Chamber Choir is an award-winning ensemble at the heart of choral music-making within the TU Dublin Conservatoire. Under conductor Bernie Sherlock, the choir has achieved notable success at Ireland’s leading choral competitions, including 2nd prize in the Fleischmann International Trophy Competition at the Cork International Choral Festival, Ireland’s Choir of the Year, and multiple first prizes at Feis Ceoil. Internationally, the choir made its overseas debut in 2019 as invited guests of the ChorAlp summer festival in Briançon, France.
Bernie Sherlock – Conductor
Bernie Sherlock is a lecturer in music at TU Dublin and an acclaimed Irish conductor whose ensemble New Dublin Voices has earned major international awards. She served as Artistic Director of the Irish Youth Choirs (2020–2025), co-conducted EuroChoir, and is a guest conductor with Chamber Choir Ireland. Renowned for innovative programming, international adjudication, and her advocacy of new choral music, she has commissioned and premiered approximately 100 works. She holds a doctorate in choral conducting from RIAM/DCU.
Mairéad Hurley – Accompanist
Mairéad Hurley studied piano at the RIAM and music at UCD, later training at the National Opera Studio and completing postgraduate degrees in performance and psychotherapy. Former Head of Music at Opera Ireland, she has worked on more than seventy operas with major Irish companies and orchestras. From 2010 to 2021 she was Head of Vocal, Opera and Drama at TU Dublin Conservatoire, where she now continues as a répétiteur in the vocal department.
