Carmel O’Reilly is a lecturer in French and English Studies at TU Dublin. Current modules include Intermediate level French, together with Intermediate and Advanced level English. In 2020, she became a Ph.D. candidate in English and Creative Writing at The Seamus Heaney Centre, Queen’s University, Belfast, exploring narrative techniques in historical fiction. For the creative component, Carmel is writing historical fiction set in Ireland and England during the Tudor period. She holds an M.A. in French and B.A. (Hons. English and French) from University College Dublin.
Carmel has contributed to Tiny Masterclasses in Creative Writing at the Seamus Heaney Centre, Queen's University Belfast, in association with Fighting Words Northern Ireland.
