Dr. Margaret Fingleton is a lecturer and tutor in the School of Social Sciences, Law and Education in TU Dublin, City Campus. Margaret previously worked as an Assistant lecturer in the Tallaght campus and lectured on the MA programme in Carlow College. She has over 20 years’ experience of working as a social care worker and leader in residential and community care settings. As owner and manager of Finwey Farm she pioneered the use animal-assisted therapy and forest school education in Ireland. She has co-created the Integrative Framework for Social Care and continues to develop this area. Her PhD research focused on the experiences of Black Minority Ethnic social care students in Ireland.

Professional practice, Critical Race Theory, Social Justice, Anti-racism practice, Animal assisted therapy and Forest School, Community engagement, sustainable development. PhD research focused on the experiences of Black Minority Ethnic social care students in Ireland.
