Mr Jan Pettersen is a Lecturer in the School of Social Sciences, Law & Education at the Technological University Dublin. He specialises in the area of Leadership, Management and Mentoring, and Digital Childhoods and also teaches other modules related to Early Childhood Education, such as Outdoor Learning and Inclusion. Jan has been involved in the development and co-ordination of several degrees, most recently the MA in Mentoring, Management & Leadership in the Early Years and the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Early Childhood Education.
In addition to his lecturing, curriculum development and postgraduate supervision roles he has published and presented on the topic of Management & Leadership and Pedagogy, Digital Childhoods and Outdoor Learning.
Jan was a founding member of the Special Interest Group on Digital Childhoods at EECERA and PLÉ, the association of academics in Early Childhood Education.
His current research interest explores Pedagogical Leadership in Early Years services.
