Mary has lectured on all of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the school. Core modules include Managing Innovation, Creativity, Leadership, Management and Organisation Behaviour. Mary is involved in all the school’s disciplines, and has extensive dissertation and thesis supervision experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
She has also delivered postgraduate modules at ESSEC Business School, Paris, and acted as an undergraduate guest lecturer at a number of universities in Ireland, Europe and the U.S.
Mary has won awards across the three pillars of teaching and learning, research and student engagement. Awards include: D.I.T. ‘Teaching excellence’ award 2013; CONUL Information Literacy award 2010; National Forum for Teaching & Learning Teaching Hero Award 2020; U.K Hospitality Institute ‘Research Excellence Award’ 2015; International e-Learning Excellence Award 2016 – first-place; ‘Outstanding first-year advocate’ highly commended nominee, First Year Experience and Students in Transition Society, U.S.A, 2016. These awards were given at university level, national, UK, European and U.S. Mary also held the inaugural Teaching Fellow Award from the university (formerly D.I.T).
She has extensive experience of higher education and curriculum development, having chaired a school review process, and participated in over 20 programmatic reviews and new programme development.
Mary has a particular interest in academic integrity, and has been a member of the TU Dublin Academic Integrity Working Group 2023-2025.
