Garvan is passionate about arousing the natural curiosity of students by exploring their interests. He encourages them to master fundamentals in small steps before guiding them to apply their knowledge in Financial Accounting, Financial Management and Corporate Finance. As a chartered accountant, Garvan has worked as an Auditor, Financial Controller, and Business Consultant.

Garvan has been involved in implementing accounting information systems, and business planning for a start-up successfully launched on the NASDAQ. He is a member of CAP/ACA’s Education and Training Committee and chairs its Exam Stage Board overseeing quality and moderation.
