Qualifications: PhD

My role as an academic comprises of three main roles – a lecturer, programme co-ordinator and researcher.

My lecturing is focused in the area of Global Strategic Management, which I deliver to final year students. I adopt an active learning approach and use case studies to deliver academic theory and models in an applied context.

As Programme Co-ordinator for both the BSc. in Business & Management and BSc. In Business & Law, I work with colleagues to ensure academic delivery is to the standard expected of such prestigious programmes, whilst also liaising with learners to capture their voice and input.

My research interests have evolved from the area of expertise to how experts are involved in the strategic process of firms and public sector bodies.

I started my academic career in 2010 delivering modules primarily in the areas of Business Strategy and International Business. In addition to my lecturing experience, I have occupied roles in Academic Affairs and Programme Management, which have allowed me to gain experience in quality assurance processes and the management of academic programmes. I have also been an External Examiner and served on Expert Panels for programme validation of further and higher education institutes across Ireland. I am a graduate of TU Dublin where I obtained my Doctorate, which focused on the Legitimacy of Experts in Society.
