Dr. Rohit Verma is a Lecturer in the School of Informatics and Cybersecurity at Technological University Dublin (TUD), Blanchardstown campus, Ireland.
He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering. His doctoral research focused on service-oriented architecture, cloud computing, and security in resource-constrained environments. He also holds a master’s degree in Information Security and a bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
Dr. Verma has combined experience in academia, industry, and research. Prior to joining TU Dublin, he served as Programme Director for master’s level cybersecurity programmes at the National College of Ireland. Dr. Verma contributed as a postdoctoral researcher to the H2020 EU-funded multidisciplinary research project TRACTION. He was affiliated with the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics at Dublin City University (DCU). He previously taught at institutions in India as a faculty member in Computer Science.
His research interests include autonomous and adaptive systems in cloud and resource-constrained environments, cybersecurity, and quality of service in distributed systems, and AI applications in cybersecurity. He has published in leading peer-reviewed journals and conferences, authored book chapters, edited a research volume, and guest-edited special issue for international journal. Dr. Verma has taught a wide range of cybersecurity and computing modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Dr. Verma regularly serves as a reviewer for top-tier journals and is an active member of technical programme committees for international conferences. He is a member of IEEE.
