Postgraduate opportunities

Building on its strong Information Technology and Cyber Security foundations, the school offers postgraduate programmes in Computing at Higher Diploma level (TU251) along with Applied Data Science & Analytics (TU253R) and Applied Cyber Security (TU252R) at MSc. level. These programmes are offered in full time and part time modes using remote and blended delivery that allows postgraduate students to combine work and study in a flexible way.

The school also offers students the opportunity to study towards qualifications at MSc and PhD level through funded research programmes and self-funded programmes. Some of our active research areas include Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Biometrics, Design Technologies and Augmented Reality, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing and computational linguistics, Sign Language Processing, Learning Analytics, Teaching & Learning, High Performance Computing and Sociotechnical studies.

The Higher Diploma in Science in Computing is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding with specific abilities in the areas of computing technology and associated best practices, as well as to act as a basis on which to progress to higher studies in computing.
TU252R Master of Science Computing in Applied Cyber Security (P/T)
Level 9.
2 years - Part Time.
The Master of Science in Computing in Applied Cyber Security is designed to produce highly knowledgeable and skilled graduates to counter the cyber security threat. This course focuses on developing hands-on skills backed by theoretical knowledge.
